Terms of Use

The terms governing access to Sixfold OS and its module surfaces, including acceptable use, tenant and workspace responsibilities, service scope, and liability.

Last updated: 4 July 2026

This document is a template provided for information only. It is not legal advice and not a certification. Any remaining placeholders in square brackets must be completed, and the whole text reviewed by qualified counsel, before it is relied upon.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the Sixfold OS website or any module surface, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you access the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. Where a separate written agreement exists between your organization and Claus Nisslmüller e.U., that agreement prevails over these terms in case of conflict.

2. Service scope

Sixfold OS is a modular platform. Standards and compliance outputs surfaced by governance features (including the HexaNorm module) are informational outputs — not legal advice or certification. You are responsible for verifying current sources before relying on any output. Features may change, and availability is provided on an as-is / as-available basis unless a separate service-level agreement applies.

3. Accounts and authentication

Access requires authentication through our identity provider (Auth0 / SSO). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Access is governed by role-based access control; you may only use scopes and roles assigned to you.

4. Tenant and workspace responsibilities

Where your organization operates a tenant or workspace, it is responsible for:

  • Managing role assignments and least-privilege access within its boundary.
  • The lawfulness and accuracy of content entered into its workspaces.
  • Acting as data controller for personal data it processes through the platform.
  • Respecting the isolation boundaries between tenants, workspaces, and module namespaces, and not attempting to access data outside its assigned scope.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, or tenant/workspace isolation controls.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without authorization.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the service, or with governance and audit records.
  • Misrepresent informational compliance outputs as legal advice or certification.
  • Use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

6. Intellectual property

The Sixfold OS platform, its software, design system, and marketing content are owned by Claus Nisslmüller e.U. or its licensors. You retain ownership of the content you submit; you grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the service on your behalf.

7. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind. Compliance and standards outputs are informational and do not constitute legal advice or certification. Claus Nisslmüller e.U. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on informational outputs without independent verification. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or applicable law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions on intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the court competent for 4040 Linz, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
